Inspiration comes in many forms. My favorite precious metal to work with (and personally wear), is silver. Silver is the citadel. Oxidizing the jewelry (painting/dipping it in a natural sulfate solution) gives it depth. After polishing off excess oxidation, what remains is the frame of the piece.

If silver is the citadel, stones are the muse of my work. I’ve been collecting stones since the beginning of my jewelry making journey and find great joy in hand-selecting each stone. One of the ways I collect a variety of stones, is traveling to The Tucson Gem & Mineral Show. I love finding new stones to add to my collection, as well as meeting mine owners from around the world, lapidary artists and stone sellers from Instagram.
